Getting Started
- Device layout and functions: Identify key components like microphone, camera, display, power button, keyboard, and touchpad.
- Turning the computer on and off: Charge battery, open display to turn on automatically or press power button. Select Start > Shut down to turn off.
- Unlocking the screen: Use touch screen, mouse, keyboard, or touchpad. Enter password if required.
- Windows: Overview of the Windows operating system and how to configure settings.
Basics
- Using the computer as a tablet: Fold display panel behind keyboard. Screen may rotate automatically. Keyboard and touchpad lock when folded past transition point.
- Using the S Pen (optional): Write, draw, or perform touch actions with S Pen nib. Use S Pen button for Air command features.
- Smart select: Select areas to share, save, or capture as GIF.
- Screen write: Capture screenshots to annotate or crop.
- Touch screen gestures: Tapping, double tapping, touching and holding, dragging, scrolling, spreading and pinching.
- Entering text: Use on-screen keyboard or physical keyboard. Change keyboard layout and theme.
- Copying and pasting: Touch and hold text, drag to select, Copy or Cut, then Paste.
