Basic Guidelines

  1. Open the door and load dishes into the upper and lower racks. Remove food scraps and ensure dishes don't interfere with the spray arms or dispenser.
  2. Add recommended automatic dishwasher detergent and rinse aid.
  3. Press the Power button.
  4. Select an appropriate cleaning cycle based on soil level.
  5. Press the Start button and close the door within 3 seconds.
  6. The 'Clean' light illuminates and a chime sounds when the cycle is complete. The dishwasher powers off automatically.
  7. For added dishes or pausing, open the door slowly and carefully. Press Start to resume.
  8. Use rinse aids for better drying. Sanitize and Heated Dry options can further improve drying.
  9. The door may automatically open slightly at the end of the cycle to let steam out (for applicable models). Open the door fully and wait before removing dishes.

Troubleshooting and error codes

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION

Load fewer dishes. Load as recommended.
Leaves a cloudy film on glasses. Water is too soft and too much detergent was used. Aluminum dishes were included. Wash fewer items, use less detergent. Remove aluminum items.
Leaves a yellow or brown film inside. No rinse aid. Low water temperature. Too many dishes loaded. Concave-bottomed glasses hold water. Add rinse aid. Connect to hot water supply. Use Sanitize option. Load as recommended. Empty upper rack first, then lower rack after cycle.
Does not dry dishes well. No rinse aid. Low water temperature. Too many dishes loaded. Concave-bottomed glasses hold water. Auto Release™™ Dry mode not used. Incomplete cycle water remained. Is too noisy. Noise from dispenser lid opening and drain pump operating. Dishwasher is not level. Foreign object in pump chamber. Nozzle hitting dishes. This is normal operation. Ensure dishwasher is level. Contact technician for foreign object removal. Rearrange dishes.
Nozzle does not rotate smoothly. Nozzle orifice is clogged with food particles. Nozzle blocked by a dish or pot. Clean nozzle orifice. Rearrange dishes to ensure nozzles can rotate freely.
Water does not pump out. Drain is obstructed. Contact technician for drain hose obstruction.
Upper rack is bent after loading dishes. Dishes are not loaded correctly. Load dishes as recommended.
Door cannot be closed. Auto Release™™ Dry mode is in use. Wait 2 minutes before closing manually.
