| PROBLEM | SOLUTION |
|---|---|
| Does not operate. | Make sure the door is latched. Ensure the power cord is plugged into a working outlet. Check house circuit breakers or fuses. Press the Start/Pause button again if the door was opened during the cycle. |
| Does not heat. | Check house circuit breakers or fuses. Select a heat setting other than Air Fluff. For gas dryers, check if the gas supply is on. Clean the lint filter and vent duct. The dryer may have entered the cool-down phase of the cycle. |
| Does not dry. | Verify previous items: Ensure the exhaust hood flap opens and closes freely. Check the dryer vent system for obstructions. Use a 4" rigid metal duct. Do not overload (1 washer load = 1 dryer load). Separate heavy from light items. Large, bulky items may need repositioning for uniform drying. Check that the washer is draining correctly. Small loads may need extra towels. |
| Makes noise. | Check for foreign objects in the drum like coins or buttons. It is normal to hear the gas valve or heat device cycle on and off. Ensure the dryer is level. A humming sound from air movement is normal. |
| Does not dry uniformly. | Small loads may not dry completely; add towels. For heavy items mixed with light items, the heavy item may not dry completely; separate heavy items. Seams, pockets, and other resistant areas may not dry completely; select Very Dry if needed. |
| Has an odor. | Ambient odors (paint, chemicals) can enter the dryer with the air. This is normal as the dryer draws in and circulates room air. Ventilate the room well before use if odors persist. |
