Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
Does not operate. Ensure the door is latched. Ensure the power cord is plugged in. Check house circuit breakers and fuses. Press Start/Pause again if the door was opened during the cycle.
Does not heat. Check house circuit breakers and fuses. Select a heat drying option (not Air Fluff). For gas dryers, ensure the gas supply is on. Clean the lint filter and exhaust vent. The dryer may be in the cool-down phase.
Does not dry. Check previous points. Ensure the exterior vent flap opens and closes freely. Check for obstructions in the vent system. Use a 4" rigid metal duct. Do not overload the dryer (1 wash load = 1 dry load). Separate heavy items from light items. Reposition large items like blankets for uniform drying. Ensure the dryer is draining correctly (for steam models).
Makes noise. Check for objects in the load (coins, buttons, nails). It's normal to hear the gas valve or heater cycle. Ensure the dryer is level. A humming noise due to high airflow is normal.
Does not dry uniformly. Seams, pockets, or similar areas may not dry completely. Select "Very Dry" if desired. Separate heavy and light items.
Has an odor. Ambient odors (paint, cleaners) can enter the dryer with the air. Ventilate the room before use.
Shuts off before the load is dry. The load is too small. Add more items or towels and restart. The load is too large. Remove some items and restart. Clean the lint filter before each load. Some fabrics produce more lint; dry them separately. Divide large loads. Check pockets before washing and drying. Works best with small loads (1-4 items). Load fewer items. Load similar items. Strong-smelling fabrics should be dried on a normal cycle.
Lint on clothes. Clean the lint filter before each load. Dry lint-producing items separately.
Wrinkled clothes after the anti-wrinkle cycle. Load fewer items. Load similar items.
Lingering odors after Refresh cycle. Strong-smelling fabrics should be dried on a normal cycle.
Water drips from the nozzle at the start of the steam process. This is due to steam condensation. The dripping will stop in a few minutes.
Water is not visible during the steam process. The sprayed water is difficult to see when the door is closed.
Extended time. Check the load size/cycle selection.
