| PROBLEM | SOLUTION |
|---|---|
| Does not operate. | Ensure door is latched. Check power cord connection. Check house circuit breakers or fuses. Press Start/Pause again if the door was opened during the cycle. |
| Does not heat. | Check house circuit breakers or fuses. Select a heat option other than Air Fluff. For gas dryers, ensure the gas supply is on. Clean the lint filter and exhaust duct. The dryer may be in the cool-down phase. |
| Does not dry. | Check previous points. Ensure the exterior drain flap opens and closes. Verify the drain system is not obstructed; inspect and clean ducts annually. Use rigid metal ducts (4" diameter). Do not overload (1 wash load = 1 dry load). Separate heavy from light items. Re-position large, bulky items. Ensure the dryer is draining correctly. For small loads, add towels. |
| Makes noise. | Check for foreign objects like coins, buttons, or nails in the drum. It is normal to hear the gas valve or heat cycle engage/disengage. Ensure the dryer is level. A humming noise is normal due to high air speed. |
| Does not dry evenly. | Similar items may not dry completely when mixed with others. Select 'Very Dry' if desired. Heavy items may not dry completely if dried with lighter items. Separate heavy and light items. |
| Has odor. | Household odors may be drawn in with ambient air. Ventilate the room before using the dryer. |
| Shuts off before load is dry. | Load is too small; add more items or towels and restart. Load is too large; remove some items and restart. |
| Lint on clothes. | Clean the lint filter before each load. Some fabrics produce more lint and should be dried separately. Divide large loads into smaller ones. Check pockets before washing and drying. For best results, dry small loads (1-4 items) or similar items. |
| Wrinkled clothes after the Anti-Crease cycle. | Best with small loads (1-4 items). Load fewer items. Load similar items. |
| Odors remain after Refresh cycle. | Strong-smelling fabrics should be washed on a normal cycle. |
| Water drips from the spray nozzle when the steam cycle begins. | This is due to steam condensation. Dripping will stop in a few minutes. |
| Water is not visible during the steam process. | The sprayed water is difficult to see when the door is closed. |
| Extended time. | Check load size and cycle selection. |
