Connecting to a TV

\n

Connect the product to your TV using an HDMI cable for video and audio output. Ensure the HDMI cable is high-speed for resolutions above 720p. If using an HDMI-to-DVI cable, connect digital audio separately. Adjust 'HDMI Deep Colour' if screen noise occurs.

Connecting to an Audio System

\n

Use Method 1 for HDMI-supported AV receivers or Method 2 for optical input. After connection, select the correct input on your audio system and TV. Do not connect the power cord until all connections are made.

Connecting to a Network Router

\n

Connect via a wired Ethernet cable or wirelessly. For wired connections, a router is recommended for DSL users. Wireless connections require infrastructure mode and support specific security protocols (WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK). WPS can be used for automatic setup.

The Home Screen

\n

The Home Screen provides access to various functions: PLAY DISC, FILMS AND TV SHOWS, MULTIMEDIA, Sign In, Search, SAMSUNG APPS, My Apps, Recorded TV, Schedule Manager, Screen Mirroring, and Settings. The screen automatically switches to DTV Channel mode after 3 minutes of inactivity.

Adjust UHD Output, 3D Settings, Screen Size, TV Aspect Ratio, BD Wise, Resolution, DTV Smart Resolution, Movie Frame (24fps), Fit Screen Size, HDMI Colour Format, HDMI Deep Colour, and Progressive Mode to optimize picture quality.

Sound Settings

Configure Digital Output (PCM, Bitstream), PCM Downsampling, Dynamic Range Control, Downmixing Mode, DTS Neo:6 Mode, Audio Sync, and Connected Device settings to match your audio system.

Troubleshooting and error codes

No operation can be performed with the remote control. Check the batteries in the remote control. They may need replacing. Operate the remote control at a distance of no more than 6.1m. Remove the batteries and hold down one or more buttons for several minutes to drain the microprocessor inside the remote control to reset it. Reinstall the batteries and try to operate the remote control again.
Disc does not play. Ensure that the disc is installed with the label side facing up.
Disc Menu does not appear. Check the region number of the Blu-ray/DVD disc. Ensure that the disc has disc menus.
The prohibition message appears on the screen. This message appears when an invalid button is pressed. The Blu-ray Disc/DVD's software doesn't support the feature (e.g., angles). You've requested a title or chapter number or search time that is out of range.

Can not view Pay channel with connection CI(+) CAM Pay channel Check whether the firmware of CAM is upgraded for compatibility with CI+ 1.3Version. Some CAM's in the market with older firmware versions are not fully interoperable with this device that is compliant to v1.3 specification. It is a problem of legacy CAMs, not this CI Plus compliant device. In this case, this problme can be resolved by applying a firmware upgrade to the CAMs. So, please contact your network operator or CAM operator for it. When the factory default settings are restored, all stored user BD data is deleted.
