Safety Instructions

Power:

  • Do not use a damaged or loose plug.
  • Do not pull the plug out by the wire nor touch the plug with wet hands.
  • Use only a properly grounded plug and receptacle.
  • Do not excessively bend the plug and wire nor place heavy objects upon them.
  • Disconnect the plug from the outlet during storms or lightening or if it is not used for a long period of time.
  • Do not connect too many extension cords or plugs to an outlet.

Installation:

  • Do not cover the vents on the monitor cabinet.
  • Put your monitor in a location with low humidity and a minimum of dust.
  • Do not drop the monitor when moving it.
  • Place the monitor on a flat and stable surface.
  • Set down the monitor carefully.
  • Do not place the monitor face down.
  • Do not use the monitor without the monitor stand.

Clean:

  • Wipe with a slightly moistened, soft fabric. Do not clean with water.
  • Use a water-diluted mild detergent.
  • Do not spray detergent directly on the monitor.
  • Use the recommended detergent with a smooth cloth.
  • If the connector between the plug and the pin is dusty or dirty, clean it properly with a dry cloth.
  • Do not set a glass of water, chemicals or any small metal objects on the monitor.

Introduction

Unpacking:

  • Ensure all included items are present: Power Cord, Stand, Signal Cable, Quick Setup Guide, Warranty Card, User's Guide and Driver Installation CD, USB Cable, USB Hub (Option).

Front:

  • Identify and understand the functions of the buttons: Highlight, Exit, Adjust, Menu, Power Indicator, Power.

Rear:

  • Identify ports: Power port, Signal port, BNC Connectors (Option), USB Connector.

Bottom:

  • Identify ports: Signal port, Power Port, Tilt/Swivel Base.

Setup

Connecting Your Monitor:

  • Connect the power cord to the monitor and a nearby outlet.
  • Connect the signal cable to the video port on your computer.
  • For Macintosh computers, use the appropriate adapter.
  • Connect the USB cable to the USB port.
  • Turn on your computer and monitor.

Automatic Driver Installation:

  • Follow on-screen prompts when prompted for the monitor driver.
  • Insert the CD-ROM included with the monitor.
  • Select the appropriate driver for your operating system (Windows ME/98/95, XP/2000, NT, Linux).

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Monitor does not operate normally. Check the power cord connection. If there are unusual sounds or smells, unplug immediately and contact an authorized dealer or service.
No image is displayed. Ensure all cables are connected properly. Turn on both the computer and monitor.
Screen flickers. Adjust the vertical frequency to over 70 Hz.
Afterimages appear on the screen. Avoid displaying the same image for long periods. Use a screen saver.
MouScreen program does not run. Ensure the USB monitor is properly connected to the computer. Reconnect the USB connection and run the program again.
