Setting Up Your System: Install on a flat surface, ensure ventilation, connect speakers to the rear terminals (red to +, black to -), connect AM/FM aerials, and plug into power.

Playing CDs: Press Open/Close to load discs, then press CD (II) to play. Use Disc Skip or Disc buttons to select specific discs. Tracks can be selected using search buttons or by programming playback order.

Listening to Cassettes: Press TAPE to select, insert cassette, and press TAPE (►) to play. Use fast-forward and rewind.

Tuner Functions: Select TUNER, then use Tuning Up/Down or presets to find stations. Store stations using Program.

Recording: Use CD Synchro Record for discs or TUNER for radio to cassette (Deck 2 only). Dubbing from Deck 1 to Deck 2 is also supported.

Other Features: Set Timer for auto on/off, adjust EQ presets, use Power Sound, Al Sleep for auto shut-off, connect headphones, and use the microphone (optional).

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Checks/Explanation
The system does not work
  • The main lead is not correctly plugged into a wall socket or the wall socket is not switched on.
  • The remote control batteries need replacing or the polarity has not been respected.
  • The Standby/On button has not been pressed.
E There is no sound
  • The volume has been completely turned down.
  • The correct function (TUNER, CD, TAPE, AUX) has not been selected.
  • You have connected a set of earphones.
  • The loudspeaker wires have been disconnected.
  • The MUTE button has been pressed.
The Timer does not work
  • The timer has been stopped by pressing TIMER ON/OFF.
  • Press the SBS button for 5 seconds in power 'OFF'(standby), the system is returned the original position (RESET)
System still doesn't work, even after following steps above.
  • The CD function has not been selected.
  • The disc has been inserted face down or is either dirty or scratched.
  • The laser sensor is dirty or dusty.
  • The system has not been installed on a flat, horizontal surface.
  • Condensation has formed in the player, leave the system in a warm, airy room for at least one hour.
The compact disc player does not start playing
  • The TAPE function has not been selected.
  • The cassette has not been inserted correctly.
  • The cassette player has not been closed.
  • The tape is either slack or broken.
The tape does not start playing
  • The audio heads are dirty.
  • The rollers or drive capstans are dirty.
  • The tape is worn.
The volume falls off
  • The TUNER function has not been selected.
  • The radio frequency has not been correctly selected.
  • The aerial has been disconnected or is not facing the right way. Turn it until you find the best orientation.
  • You are in a building that blocks radio waves; you must use an outside aerial.
The cassette is not erased correctly (See Above - poor reception explanation)
There is excessive wow and flutter (See Above - poor reception explanation)
Reception is poor or no radio stations are received at all (See Above - poor reception explanation)
