Basic Operation:

  • Turning On/Off: Press the POWER button on the remote or the TV panel. The last viewed program will be selected automatically.
  • Standby Mode: Press the POWER button to turn off the screen and activate the red standby indicator. Press POWER or channel buttons to turn it back on.
  • Changing Channels: Use the number buttons or the channel up/down buttons on the remote, or the C/P button on the TV panel.
  • Volume Control: Use the + and - buttons on the remote control.
  • Menu Navigation: Use the MENU button to access the on-screen menu system. Use the arrow buttons (▲/▼/◀/▶) to navigate and ENTER to confirm selections. EXIT returns to the previous menu or normal viewing.
  • Plug & Play: For first-time setup, follow the on-screen prompts for language, country, and auto channel storage.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
No sound or picture Check mains lead connection, POWER button, picture contrast/brightness settings, and volume.
Picture but no sound Check volume and ensure MUTE button is not pressed.
Picture or black and white picture Adjust colour settings and check broadcast system selection.
Screen and picture interference Identify and move away affecting electrical appliances. Try a different mains socket.
Snowy picture, sound Check aerial direction, location, and connections. Interference is often due to indoor aerials.
Remote control malfunctions Replace batteries, clean remote control transmission window, check battery terminals.
"No signal cable." message Ensure signal cable is firmly connected to PC/video sources and that they are turned on.
"Not Supported Mode." message Check maximum resolution and video adapter frequency against Display Modes data.
Image too light or too dark Adjust Brightness and Contrast.
Horizontal bars flicker/shimmer Adjust the Fine function.
Vertical bars flicker/shimmer Adjust Coarse and then Fine function.
Screen black, power light blinks TV is using power management. Move mouse or press a keyboard key.
Image unstable/vibrates Check display resolution and frequency from computer/video board against supported modes. Adjust settings in Control Panel, Display, Settings.
Image not centered Adjust horizontal and vertical position.
