Turning the TV On and Off

Press the POWER button on the remote control. You can also use the button on the front of the panel.

Plug & Play Feature

When the TV is initially powered on, basic settings proceed automatically:

  1. Press POWER on the remote.
  2. Select OSD language.
  3. Select "Shop" or "Home" mode.
  4. Select antenna connection (Air, Cable, or Air+Cable) and press ENTER.
  5. Auto program searches for channels.
  6. Select clock mode (Manual or Auto).
  7. Set daylight savings time (Yes/No).
  8. Select time zone.
  9. Press ENTER to complete.

Changing Channels

Use the CH or CH buttons to change channels. Use the PRE-CH button to return to the previous channel.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Solution
Poor image quality. Try another channel. Adjust the antenna. Check all connections.
Poor sound quality. Try another channel. Adjust the antenna.
No image or no sound. Try another channel. Press the SOURCE button. Check TV power. Check antenna connection.
No sound or very low sound at max volume. Check volume for connected devices (receiver, DTV, DVD, etc.). Adjust TV volume.
Image rolls vertically. Check all cable connections.
TV operates erratically. Unplug the TV for 30 seconds, then try again.
TV does not turn on. Check the electrical outlet.
Remote control malfunction. Replace batteries. Clean remote's transmission window. Check battery terminals.
Message "Check cable signal." Ensure the interface cable is securely connected to PC sources.
Message "Mode not available". Check maximum resolution and video adapter frequency. Compare with mode data.
Digital broadcast screen problem. Check digital signal strength and antenna input.
Image too bright or too dark. Adjust brightness and contrast. Use fine-tuning.
Black bars on screen. Ensure HD reception. Adjust aspect ratio on cable box or satellite receiver.
Image has a red/green or pink tint. Ensure component cables are connected correctly. If using a cable box or satellite receiver, set it to the Subtitles mode, not the TV.
Subtitles mode does not work. Your cable box's software may need an upgrade. Contact your cable provider. Incompatibility with cable box may be the cause. Connect via component cables.
Horizontal bars, flickering, or shimmering image. Adjust basic and fine-tuning settings.
Vertical bars, flickering, or shimmering image. Adjust basic and fine-tuning settings.
Screen is black and power indicator blinks. Check computer connection, signal cable, and power settings. Move the mouse or press a key. If settings are incorrect, use computer's utility to adjust display settings. The TV supports multiscan frequencies: Horizontal 30-60 kHz, Vertical 60-75 Hz, Max refresh rate (60 Hz).
Image not centered. Adjust horizontal and vertical position. Do not adjust screen position in Digital Signal mode.
Residual images or blur after displaying a still image for a long time. When not in use for extended periods, set to power saving mode or use a screensaver. TFT LCDs have secondary pixels; some bright or dark pixels may exist and do not affect performance.
