Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Solution

No picture or sound. Try another channel. / Press the SOURCE button. / Check that the TV is plugged in. / Check antenna connections.
No sound, or very low sound, at maximum volume. First, check the volume of connected devices (digital receiver, DTV, DVD, cable box, VCR, etc.). Then, adjust the TV volume as needed.
Picture rolls vertically. Check all cable connections.
Picture quality is defective. Run the picture test using the self-diagnosis menu.
Sound is defective. Run the sound test using the self-diagnosis menu.
TV is malfunctioning. Unplug the TV for 30 seconds, then try again.
TV does not turn on. Check the wall socket.
Remote control anomalies. Replace the remote control batteries. / Clean the top edge of the remote control (transmission window). / Check the battery terminals.
'Check signal cable' message. Ensure the signal cable is firmly connected to the PC's PC IN connector.
'Mode not compatible' message. Check the maximum resolution and video frequency of the connected device. Compare these values with the display mode data.
Picture problem with digital broadcast. Check the digital signal strength and antenna input.
Image too bright or too dark. Adjust brightness and contrast. / Fine-tune the tuning.
Black bars on the screen. Check if the received broadcast is high-definition (HD). HD channels may occasionally broadcast SD content, which can cause black bars. To eliminate black bars, configure the cable or satellite decoder to 'stretch' or 'panoramic' modes.
Images have a red/green or pink tone. Check that the component cables are connected to the correct terminals.
Subtitles for the deaf do not work. When using a cable or satellite decoder, the subtitle option must be configured on the decoder, not on the TV.
Images have snow. Firmware may need to be updated. Contact your cable provider.
Ghost images are visible. There may be compatibility issues with the cable decoder. Try connecting via component cables.
Horizontal bars flicker, tremble, or dim in the image. Adjust the Coarse function, then the Fine function.
Vertical bars flicker, tremble, or dim in the image. Adjust the Coarse function, then the Fine function.
Screen is black and the power indicator light blinks constantly. Check the following on the connected device: Power supply, signal cable.
Image is unstable and vibrates when the computer is connected via PC input. The TV is using its power management system. Move the computer's mouse or press a keyboard key. If the setting is incorrect, use the computer's utility to change the screen settings. The TV supports multiscan display within the following frequency ranges: - Horizontal frequency (kHz): 30~60 - Vertical frequency (Hz): 60~75 - Maximum PC scan rate (at 60 Hz): 1920 X 1080
Image is not centered on the screen. Adjust horizontal and vertical position. The screen position should be adjusted relative to the output source (e.g., STB) with a digital signal.
Image appears distorted in the corner of the screen. If 'Full Screen' is selected on an external device, the image may appear distorted in the screen corner. This symptom originates from the external devices, not the TV.
'Reset all factory defaults' message appears. Appears when the EXIT button is pressed for a moment. The product settings are reset to default values.
