- Turning the TV On and Off: Press the POWER button on the remote control or the front panel.
- Plug & Play Feature: For initial setup, the TV guides you through language selection, antenna input check, channel memorization, and time setting. This feature is available in TV and DTV modes.
- Using the V-Chip: Access to channels and programs can be controlled using a password. You can enable/disable rating controls, change the password, and set up restrictions based on "TV Parental Guidelines" or "MPAA Rating".
- Using the V-Chip for Digital Channels: Parental restriction information can also be applied to DTV channels, with downloadable U.S. ratings automatically updating.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| Poor picture. | Try another channel. Adjust the antenna. Check all wire connections. |

| Your remote control does not operate your TV. | Press the TV/DTV button to put your remote control in the "TV" mode. Make sure the remote has batteries. Check that the "+" and "-" ends of the batteries are inserted correctly. Check that the batteries are drained. |
