Warranty Information

Consult your dealer or service center for warranty information.

Cooling & Electric Heating Models:
  • Cooling: Compressor cycles ON/OFF to maintain room temperature. A 3-minute delay prevents immediate restart after stopping. Compressor turns ON when room temp rises above set temp + 1°F, and OFF when it falls below set temp.
  • Heating: Heater cycles ON/OFF. Heater turns ON when room temp falls below set temp, and OFF when it rises above set temp + 1°F.
Heat Pump Models:
  • Cooling: Similar to Cooling & Electric Heating Models.
  • Heating (except during defrosting): Similar to Heating in Cooling & Electric Heating Models.
  • Changeover to Heater ON: Occurs when room temp falls below set temp - 4°F; unit switches from heat pump to electric heater.
  • Changeover to Heat Pump: Occurs when room temp rises above set temp - 3°F; unit resumes heat pump operation.
Freeze Prevention: Compressor stops if indoor heat exchanger coil temp drops below 32°F, and restarts above 50°F. Freeze Protection: Electric heater turns ON if room temp falls below 46.4°F, regardless of mode, to prevent freezing. Indoor fan speed synchronizes with heater operation. Defrosting Operation (Heat Pump): When outdoor coil temp is below 14°F, compressor turns OFF and electric heater turns ON. Defrosting ends when outdoor coil temp rises above 41°F. During defrosting, heat is provided by the electric heater. Fan Cycle Switch:
  • CYCLE: Indoor fan synchronizes with compressor/heater. Saves power.
  • CONT: Fan operates continuously, regardless of compressor/heater.
