Playback

Turn on the TV and amplifier, then ensure they are set to the correct input. Press [Power] to turn on the unit. Insert a disc with the label facing up. Press [Play/Pause] to start playback or [Stop] to stop.

Disc Menu

For discs with menus, use the arrow keys to select items and press [Enter].

Resume Playback

Press [Resume] during playback to set a pre-stop point. Press [Resume] or [Play/Pause] again to resume from that point.

Search Functions

Use the [Search/Number] buttons to search by Track/File, Title/Chapter, or Time. Use the SKIP buttons to navigate through tracks or chapters.

Repeat / Random Playback

Press [Repeat] to cycle through repeat modes (Off, Chapter, Title, All). Press [A-B] to set start and end points for A-B repeat. Press [Mode] for Random Playback.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Corrective action
No Power. Check AC Power cord connection. Unplug and replug. Check TV is switched on.
No Sound or Picture. Check Video/Audio Cable connections.
Distorted Picture. Some distortion may appear and is not a malfunction. Connect directly to TV.
Completely Distorted Picture or Black/White Picture with DVD. Connect directly to TV. Ensure disc compatibility.
No Sound or Distorted Sound. Adjust Volume. Check Speaker connections.
No DTS Audio is Output. This unit does not support DTS Audio. Connect to a Dolby Digital decoder and set "Audio Out" to "Bitstream".
Picture Freezes Momentarily during Playback. Clean the disc for fingerprints/dirt.
Disc Cannot be Played back. Clean the disc. Ensure correct insertion. Use compatible disc. Test with another disc. Check Parental settings. Handle disc with care.
No Return to Start-up Screen when Disc is Removed. Turn off and restart the unit.
The Unit does not Respond to the Remote Control. Aim remote at sensor. Reduce distance. Re-insert/replace batteries. Test remote with a digital camera.
Buttons Do Not Work or the Unit Stops Responding. Reset the unit by unplugging and replugging the AC power cord.
The Unit Does Not Respond to some Operating Commands during Playback. Operations may not be permitted by the disc.
The Unit Cannot Read CD / DVD. Use a cleaning CD/DVD disc.
Angle Does Not Switch. DVD must contain multiple angles.
The Password for Rating Level has been forgotten. Enter default password "4737" to clear.
