Starting Up the Unit:

  1. Connect the power cord to a suitable outlet and turn on the power switch.
  2. If a back-up system is installed, turn off its switch.
  3. Ensure the battery switch is ON.
  4. If an audible alarm sounds, press the BUZZER key to silence it.
  5. Set the desired chamber temperature (refer to page 18).
  6. Confirm the chamber temperature has reached the set point.
  7. Turn on the back-up system switch if installed.
  8. Test the alarm system by pressing the ALARM TEST key.
  9. Once confirmed, gradually add articles to the freezer.

Operation After Power Failure: The freezer automatically resumes operation with the previously set temperature after a power failure, as settings are stored in nonvolatile memory.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Malfunction Possible Cause Remedy
Chamber is not cooled at all Circuit breaker of power source is active. None
Voltage is too low. (Status code "--2" displayed) Call an electrician.
Power switch is not ON. Turn on the power switch.
Large amount of articles stored at once. (Status code "--3" displayed) Reduce the load.
Direct sunlight. Relocate the unit away from direct sunlight.
Cooling is poor Ambient temperature is too high. (Status code "--1" displayed) Recheck air-conditioning of installed site.
Inner door latch not closed completely. Outer door not sealed firmly. Ensure doors are closed properly. Check for frost buildup.
Air intake vent is blocked. Clean the air intake vent.
Condenser filter is clogged. Clean the filter when the filter check lamp is lit.
Set temperature not inputted properly. Re-enter the set temperature.
Heating source nearby. Relocate the unit away from heat sources.
Access port rubber cap and insulation not set correctly. Ensure the access port is properly sealed.
Too many unfrozen articles stored. Store articles in small batches.
Independent inner door installed. Adjust ambient temperature or set chamber temperature higher.
Alarm test key cannot actuate alarm Power switch is OFF. Turn power switch ON.
Part of the alarm system is faulty. Contact service personnel.
Noise Unit not installed on sturdy floor. Ensure floor is level and sturdy.
Something touching the frame. Check for obstructions.
Unit not leveled with leveling feet. Adjust leveling feet.
Immediately after start-up, or high load condition. Normal operation, noise decreases as it cools.
Back-up test switch does not operate normally Liquid CO2 tank is empty. Inquire with CO2 supplier.
Valve of CO2 tank not opened. Inquire with CO2 supplier.
Ambient temperature is too high. Move tank to a cool location. Inquire with CO2 supplier.
