Remote Unit Adjustment

  • Tx/Rx VCO & Tx Freq: Align T253 (Tx) for 2.2V, T153 (Rx) for 1.5V, and confirm Tx Freq is 40.000MHz ±1.2KHz.
  • Tx Level: Maximize Tx power to +5dBm±3dBm.
  • Tx Modulation: Align VR651 for 2.0±0.1KHz deviation for 1KHz input, with specific deviations for 300Hz and 3KHz. Tx Data modulation should be 3.8±1.0KHz deviation.
  • Rx IF: Align T351 for maximum deflection and minimum distortion.
  • Rx AF Level: Align VR351 for 44mV±5mV speaker output (normal volume) and check outputs for different frequencies and volume settings.
  • Rx RF: Confirm distortion is less than 10% (SINAD 20dB) when reducing FM SSG output.
  • CD Level Check: Confirm CD output levels are High/Low under varying FM SSG input.
  • Batt. Low: Check Batt. Low output for High/Low levels based on DC Power Supply input.

Base Unit Adjustment

  • Tx/Rx VCO & Tx Freq: Align T201 (Tx) for 2.5V, T103 (Rx) for 1.5V, and confirm Tx Freq is 30.300MHz ±1.2KHz.
  • Tx Level: Obtain maximum power obtainable (+5dBm±3dBm).
  • Tx Modulation: Align VR601 for 1.7±0.10KHz deviation for 1KHz input, with specific deviations for 300Hz and 3KHz. Tx Data modulation should be 3.8±1.0KHz deviation.
  • Rx IF: Align T301 for maximum deflection and minimum distortion.
  • Rx RF: Align T101 for minimum distortion (less than 10%).
  • Rx AF Level: Align VR301 for -5dBm±0.5dBm output, with specific outputs for 300Hz and 3KHz.
  • CD Level Check: Confirm CD output levels are High/Low under varying FM SSG input.
