Warranty Information

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.

  • Placing a call: Ensure the handset POWER switch is ON. Press TEL, then dial the number. Press END to hang up or return the handset to the base station. Use the speakerphone by pressing the SPEAKER button.
  • Answering a call: When the phone rings, press TEL or any key (except END) to answer. Press END or place the handset in the base station cradle to hang up.
  • Using Speakerphones: Press SPEAKER on the base station or handset to place or answer a call handsfree. Adjust volume using the VOLUME control or ▲/▼ buttons.
  • Caller ID: Subscribing to Caller ID service allows the display to show the caller's name and number before answering.
  • Directory: Store up to 30 names and numbers for quick dialing.
  • Troubleshooting: Basic checks include ensuring the AC adaptor is plugged in, the handset battery is charged, and the handset is within range. Resetting the base station or handset may resolve issues.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
The phone does not work: AC adaptor may not be plugged into wall outlet. Plug in the AC adaptor.
Handset battery may need recharging (Battery LOW appears in talk mode). Charge the handset battery.
Handset may be too far from base station. Move the handset closer to the base station.
The communication range becomes shorter: Handset may need recharging. Charge the handset battery.
Incoming calls do not ring on the handset: Handset is on the base station. Remove the handset from the base station.
Handset may be too far from base station. Move the handset closer to the base station.
Handset ringer may be OFF. (See page E12). Set the handset ringer to ON.
Handset POWER switch may be set to OFF. Set the POWER switch to ON.
Callers list and directory do not appear: Base station may be in use. Wait until the base station is free.
Handset may be too far from the base. Move the handset closer to the base station.
May be no AC power to base station. Check all connections.
You may have a power failure. Use the power failure backup system.
You have not subscribed to Caller ID service. Contact your telephone company.
If the phone still does not work, try resetting the base station and handset:
To reset base station: Remove the backup batteries. Disconnect and reconnect the AC adaptor. Then insert the backup batteries.
To reset handset: Set the POWER switch to OFF and then back to ON. Disconnect and then reconnect the handset battery.
