Cleaning and Maintenance: Turn off refrigerator and remove foods, shelves, trays. Wash interior liner with warm water and baking soda solution, then rinse and wipe. Avoid soaps, detergents, and spray cleaners. Wash ice cube trays, drip tray, and shelves with mild detergent. Wipe exterior with soft cloth dampened with soapy water. Use mild soapy water for door gasket. Never use acids, chemical thinners, gasoline, or benzene. Your Sanyo refrigerator requires no maintenance.
Temperature Control: Adjust the cold control knob; closer to 'MAX' makes the temperature lower. Temperature varies with food quantity and door openings. Set to 'MAX' for quick ice cube needs. The unit may cycle on/off more frequently due to its compactness.
Defrosting: Defrost when ice/frost reaches 1/4 inch thick. Remove foods and trays, place drip tray. Set cold control to 'OFF' to start defrosting. Defrosting takes a few hours; open door and use warm water on frosted areas to speed it up. Never use sharp or metallic tools, boiling water, or defrost heaters. After defrosting, remove drip tray, and set cold control to desired position to restart.
