Warranty Information

This warranty covers manufacturing defects for one year for parts and labor from the date of purchase.

  • Turning On/Off: Press the POWER button on the front panel or remote control.
  • Channel Selection: Use the CHANNEL ▲/▼ buttons on the remote or front panel, or enter the channel number directly using the number buttons.
  • Volume Control: Press the VOLUME +/- buttons on the remote or front panel. The MUTE button can also be used to silence the audio instantly.
  • Menu Operation: Press the MENU button to access various settings like Picture, Sound, Time, Set Up, and Functions. Use the CH ▲/▼ buttons to navigate and VOL +/- buttons to select options.
  • Picture Adjustment: Use the P.STD button for preset picture modes (CUSTOM, STANDARD, DYNAMIC, MILD) or manually adjust Contrast, Brightness, Color, Sharpness, and Tint via the MENU.
  • Sound Adjustment: Use the S.STD button for preset sound modes (CUSTOM, STANDARD, MUSIC, MOVIE, SPEECH) or adjust Bass, Treble, Balance, and MTS via the MENU.
  • Clock/Timer: Set the current time and use the Sleep Timer, On/Off Timer, and Automatic Power-Off functions.
  • Other Functions: Explore Closed Caption Decoder (CCD), Quick View, Display, MTS settings, Picture-in-Picture (PIP on AVM-27D11), Channel Guide, and Channel Guard.

Troubleshooting and error codes

TV does not operate • Make sure the power cord is plugged in.
• Try another AC outlet.
• Power is off. Check fuse or circuit breaker.
Poor sound or no sound • Station or CATV experiencing problems. Turn to another station.
• Check sound adjustments (Volume and Mute).
• Check for sources of possible interference.
Poor picture or no picture • Station or CATV experiencing problems. Turn to another station.
• Check antenna or CATV connections and reorient antenna.
• Check for sources of possible interference.
• Check picture control adjustments.
Poor reception on some channels. • Station or CATV experiencing problems. Turn to another station.
• Station signal is weak. Reorient antenna to receive a strong signal.
• Check for sources of possible interference.
Poor color or no color • Station or CATV experiencing problems. Turn to another station.
• Make sure channels are set into memory.
• Check picture control adjustments.
• Make sure TV/CATV Mode is in the correct position.
• Check antenna or CATV connections and reorient antenna.
• Check for sources of possible interference.
Picture wobbles or drifts • Station or CATV experiencing problems. Turn to another station.
• Make sure channels are set into memory.
• CATV company is scrambling signal.
• Check antenna connections and reorient antenna.
• Check CATV connections.
• Make sure TV/CATV is in the correct position.
• Station or CATV system problems. Try another station.
Horizontal or diagonal bars on screen • Check antenna connections and reorient antenna.
• Make sure TV/CATV mode in the correct position.
No reception above Channel 13 • Make sure TV/CATV mode is in the correct position.
• If using antenna, check UHF antenna connections.
No remote operation • Batteries are weak, dead, or inserted improperly.
• Remote is out of range. Move closer to TV.
• Make sure remote is aimed at sensor.
• Confirm there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV.
TV shuts off • Make sure the power cord is plugged in.
• Power interrupted.
• Sleep Timer, On Timer or Off Timer are set; Station has stopped broadcasting.
