Basic Setup

  1. Connect the cable system or antenna to the TV terminal.
  2. Press the MENU key.
  3. Wait for the TV to search for channels.
  4. Switch on the power.

Remote Control

Install 2 AAA batteries (not included). Match the + and - signs. The remote control is ready to use.

Troubleshooting and error codes

No Picture or Poor Picture Signal issue (station, cable, satellite) Change channels. Turn off household appliances that might cause interference. Adjust antenna direction/alignment. Press RESET key twice to reset to factory defaults.
Poor color or no color Program or signal issue Change channels. Adjust antenna direction/alignment. Press RESET key twice.
My TV screen is solid blue TV in Video mode Press the INPUT key. Check if AV equipment is turned off or unplugged.
I don't recognize words on-screen menu Wrong language selected Press RESET key twice to reset to factory defaults. Another language other than English was selected.
No sound Mute activated or volume low Press and hold Volume key. Check if Mute function is active or volume is low.
Program or signal issue Change channels. Adjust antenna direction/alignment.
No Captioning Captioning not on or no captioned program Activate captioning by pressing CAPTION key, then press 0 to display C1. Tune to a channel broadcasting captioned programs.
A Black box appears on the screen Caption text signal without textual data Press RESET key twice. To retain settings, turn captioning off.
My remote control will not operate Object blocking signal Ensure remote is pointed at the TV. Remove any objects in the way.
Batteries Replace batteries or confirm they are properly installed.
Cannot select or scan some channels Channel memory or V-Guide settings Press RESET key twice.
