BASIC OPERATIONS

PLAY DISCS

  1. Press "POWER" button on the TV and audio system. Press "TV/VIDEO" on TV to select VIDEO mode. Select S-Video if using an S-VIDEO connection.
  2. Select the correct audio input on the amplifier (refer to amplifier manual).
  3. Press "STAND BY/ON" on the front panel or "" on the remote to turn the unit on.
  4. Press "OPEN/CLOSE" to open the disc tray, insert disc label up, then press "OPEN/CLOSE" again to close. The unit reads the disc and displays the DVD menu/title menu or track number for CDs.
  5. Press to stop playback.
  6. Press to remove the disc.

SYSTEM SETTING

Press SYSTEM button to set TV TYPE (PAL, AUTO, NTSC) to match your TV.

V-MODE

Press V-MODE to select INTERLACE, PROGRESSIVE, or S-VIDEO when connecting component. For Composite connection, use V-MODE to select Composite video.

DISPLAY

Press DISPLAY button during playback to cycle through title elapsed/remain, chapter elapsed/remain, or folder/filelist view.

FAST PLAY

Press to play forward fast (speeds X2, X4, X8, X16, X32). Press PLAY to return to normal speed.

Press to reverse disc fast (speeds X2, X4, X8, X16, X32). Press PLAY to return to normal speed.

SLOW PLAY

Press SLOW button to play slowly.

PAUSE/STEP

Press PAUSE/STEP to pause playback. Pressing STEP again moves frame by frame.

SELECT AUDIO LANGUAGE

Press AUDIO button to select desired language for multi-language DVDs.

SELECT CHANNELS (VCD)

Press CHANNEL button to select desired audio channel (MONO LEFT, MONO RIGHT, MIX-MONO, STEREO) for VCDs.

MICROPHONE CONTROL

Connect microphone, adjust MIC LEVEL and ECHO on front panel. Select Left/Right/Mixed/Stereo mode with channel button. Adjust volume with remote control and TV/monitor.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
NO SOUND NO SOUND Check unit connection. Operate TV/amplifier correctly.
NO IMAGE, IMAGE ROLLS AND NO COLOR NO IMAGE, IMAGE ROLLS AND NO COLOR Check unit connection. Operate TV correctly. Set color system correctly.
BAD SOUND QUALITY BAD SOUND QUALITY Check audio output mode. Check audio connection between unit and amplifier.
DISC CAN NOT BE PLAYED DISC CAN NOT BE PLAYED Ensure disc is inserted label-side up. Clean disc. Remove disc and leave unit on for one hour if moisture condensed.
NO MICROPHONE SOUND NO MICROPHONE SOUND Switch on microphone. Turn MIC LEVEL knob clockwise.
MICROPHONE DISTORTION MICROPHONE DISTORTION Keep microphone away from speaker. Turn down volume and echo.
REMOTE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK REMOTE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK Remove barriers. Replace batteries. Point remote at sensor.
