This Sharp brand product is warranted against defective workmanship and materials for 90 days parts and labor, and one year for parts only.
Charging the Battery
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the rechargeable battery with the arrow first.
- Close the cover.
- Plug the AC adaptor into an outlet and then into the DC IN 5V jack.
- Press the button twice to start charging. The charging indicator will appear.
Recording (Synchro Recording)
- Connect external equipment.
- Insert a recordable MiniDisc.
- Press the REC button.
- Adjust recording level using the +/- buttons while playing source equipment.
- Press ENTER/F.PLAY/SYNCHRO.
- Start playback on the source equipment. Recording begins automatically.
Playing a MiniDisc
- Insert headphones into the remote control unit and plug it into the main unit.
- Load a MiniDisc with the label side up.
- Playback starts automatically (auto-play).
- Adjust volume and bass level using the VOL/BASS buttons.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| Some sounds are skipped. | Is the battery exhausted? Is the unit being subjected to excessive vibration? |
| The MiniDisc cannot be ejected. | Has the track number or character information been written on the disc yet? |
| Recording and editing are impossible. | Is the unit in the recording or editing mode? Is the MiniDisc protected against accidental erasure? Is the unit connected properly to the other equipment? Is the AC adaptor unplugged or did a power failure occur while recording or editing? Is the unit in the safety mode? |
