Troubleshooting and error codes

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
UNIT DOES NOT OPERATE AT ALL Is the unit plugged in or is the plug loose? Has the fuse blown or the circuit breaker tripped? Was the unit restarted within 3 minutes after a power failure? Check plug and outlet. Check fuse or circuit breaker. Wait 3 minutes before restarting.
AIR CON, TIMER, AND MAXIMUM LAMPS ARE BLINKING The water tank is full. Drain the water tank.
UNIT DOES NOT COOL PROPERLY Is the unit set to FAN, DEHUMIDIFICATION, ION GENERATOR, or VENTILATION mode? Is the air filter clogged with dust? Is the cooling coil frozen? Is the temperature set incorrectly? Is the window exposed to direct sunlight? Is the exhaust hose too long? Select COOL mode. Clean the filter. Run in FAN mode to defrost. Adjust temperature. Close curtains/blinds. Shorten the exhaust hose.
UNUSUAL NOISES Compressor starting up. Refrigerant flow. Ion generator operation. Condensation evaporation. Unit on an incline. Normal operation. Normal operation. Normal operation. Normal operation. Place unit on a level surface.
TIMER DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY Power failure occurred while setting timer. Timer setting will be cancelled and not restored after power is restored.
UNIT DOES NOT RESPOND TO REMOTE CONTROL Check remote control batteries. Point remote at the receiver window. Ensure batteries are correctly inserted. Replace batteries if necessary. Re-aim remote. Check battery polarity.
AIR HAS AN ODOR Plasmacluster ion generator releasing ozone. Normal operation; ozone levels are within safety limits.
