USING THE OVEN CONTROL PANEL

Ceramic Hob Control Knobs

The appliance is controlled using the knobs, and the stored heat is confirmed by the residual heat indicator on the ceramic surface.

There are six heat levels for the hob zones.

  • Level 1: Keep warm
  • Levels 2-3: Slow cooking
  • Levels 4-6: Cooking, roasting, and boiling

Dual and oval heating elements have two heating zones. To activate the outer zone of a dual/oval element, turn the knob one position. To deactivate, turn the knob back one position.

Residual Heat Functions

After cooking, the ceramic hob retains residual heat. The control system approximates the glass temperature. If the calculated temperature is above +60°C, the corresponding residual heat indicator light illuminates and stays on until the temperature drops below +60°C.

If power is restored after an interruption, the residual heat indicator will flash if a zone has residual heat above +60°C. The display will continue to flash until the maximum residual heat time has expired or the zone is selected and activated.

Tips and Tricks for Cookware

  • Use thick, flat cookware with a smooth base and the same diameter as the heating zone.
  • Cookware made of steel, enamelled steel, cast iron, and stainless steel (if manufacturer-marked) yield the best results.
  • Cookware with bases made of enamelled steel, aluminum, or copper may leave metallic residues on the hob, which are difficult to remove. Clean the hob after each use.
  • Cookware is suitable for induction if a magnet adheres to its base.
  • Place cookware centrally on the heating zone. Incorrect placement will be indicated.
  • Some pans may produce sounds due to their design; this does not affect functionality or safety.

Energy Saving

  • Induction zones automatically adapt to cookware size. Ensure the magnetic part of the base has sufficient diameter.
  • Place cookware on the zone before switching it on. If the zone is switched on first, it won't function.
  • Use a lid to reduce cooking time.
  • Reduce temperature once liquid boils.
  • Use minimal water or fat to reduce cooking times.
  • Select the appropriate temperature for the cooking task.
