Chapter 3: Using Your Freezer
Temperature Settings: Rotate the thermostat knob from "1" (coldest) to "5" (coldest). Position "1" stops the appliance. Settings 1-2 are for short-term storage, 3-4 for long-term, and 5 for freezing fresh food.
Cleaning: Unplug the freezer. Clean the interior and exterior with a damp, soapy cloth. Do not use harsh cleaners. Clean the condenser annually. Ensure the appliance is unplugged before cleaning.
Defrosting: Set thermostat to "5" the day before. Wrap frozen food. Set thermostat to "•" and switch off. Leave door open to defrost. Use the drain system. Clean interior with lukewarm, soapy water. Dry, plug in, set thermostat to "5" for 24 hours, then reset.
