NOTE FOR SERVICING

  • Precautions for servicing: Disconnect power plugs, cables, and telephone lines when servicing, except for communication tests. Be cautious of high temperatures, high voltages, and sharp edges. Avoid disassembling the laser unit and exposing the OPC drum to light. Use specified replacement lithium batteries. Handle PWBs and electronic parts with care to prevent static electricity damage.
  • Warning for servicing: Connect to power outlets meeting specified voltage and current. Avoid complex wiring. Disconnect power immediately if smoke or abnormal smell occurs. Ensure proper grounding. Do not damage power cords. Keep cables away from heat sources. Do not insert dusty plugs into outlets. Avoid placing liquids or foreign objects inside. Do not service with wet or oily hands.
  • Note for installing site: Avoid high temperature, high humidity, low temperature, low humidity, extreme temperature/humidity changes, and extreme vibrations. Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid dusty environments or places with organic gases. Install on a stable surface.
  • Note for handling PWB and electronic parts: Use anti-static bags and cases. Do not touch with bare hands. Use an earth band when handling. Perform repairs on an anti-static mat.
  • Note for repairing/replacing the LSU: Disconnect the power plug. Follow service manual procedures. Keep all parts installed for operation checks. Do not modify the LSU. Be careful of laser beams.
  • Note for handling the drum unit, the transfer unit, the developing unit: Avoid strong lights. Cover OPC drums when removed. Do not attach fingerprints, oil, or grease.
  • Screw tightening torque: Refer to tables for correct screw types and torques. Ensure secure tightening where electrodes or current flows are present.
