The MZ-700 is a personal computer designed for ease of use. It can be operated in a "direct mode" like a calculator or used for programming in BASIC. To start, connect the MZ-700 to a television and learn the keyboard functions. Load the BASIC interpreter from cassette tape using the LOAD command. Then, you can enter and execute BASIC programs using commands like RUN. Programs can be listed using LIST, and edited by moving the cursor and using keys like SHIFT, BREAK, and DEL. Programs can be saved to cassette tape using SAVE and loaded back using LOAD. The computer supports various commands for arithmetic, string manipulation, and graphics.
