Installing Battery Pack: Place computer bottom-up on a stable surface. Match projected parts of the battery to notched parts on the computer. Push until it clicks. Turn computer over.
Connecting to AC Power Source: Use the included AC adapter and power cord. Plug the adapter cable into the computer's rear AC adapter jack. Plug the power cord into the adapter. Plug into a wall outlet. For first-time setup, use AC power.
Turning on Computer: Slide the display cover lock lever to release the cover. Raise the cover. Press the power button. The power indicator should turn green.
Setting Up Windows: Follow on-screen instructions. This takes approximately 5-10 minutes and includes configuring location, time zone, accepting the license agreement, naming the computer, creating an account, and completing configuration. Ensure AC power is connected and do not connect peripherals until setup is complete.
