Quick Setup: - Install battery pack by placing the computer upside down, sliding the lock lever, and inserting the pack until it clicks. - Connect AC power by plugging the adapter cable to the computer, the power cord to the adapter, and the adapter to a wall outlet. Ensure you use the included adapter. - Turn on the computer by pressing the power button. The power indicator will turn green, and the computer will perform a self-test. Windows XP Setup Wizard will start. Setting Up Windows XP: - Follow on-screen instructions for configuring location, language, keyboard, accepting the license agreement, naming your computer, creating an account, and completing configuration. - The setup takes approximately 5-10 minutes. Ensure AC power is connected during setup. Basic Operations: - Choose power source (AC or battery). - Reset the system if needed. - Use the Glide Pad for navigation and the Keyboard for input. - Operate the Floppy Disk and Optical Drive for data access. - Write data to CD-R/RW and watch DVD-ROM videos. - Control audio output and adjust the display settings. - Share the computer with others.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Why doesn't the power indicator or the battery power indicator turn on? Make sure the AC adapter is correctly connected to the AC adapter jack of your computer. Make sure the AC power cable is correctly connected to a live wall outlet. Make sure the battery pack is correctly installed and charged. If the battery pack is discharged, connect the AC adapter.
Why do I get the message Invalid system disk? You may have inserted a non-bootable disk in the floppy disk drive. Remove the disk.
Why can't I boot from the floppy disk? Check if the floppy disk contains a system disk. Check if Floppy Disk Drive is selected as the 1st Boot Device in the Setup Utility.
Why is the screen blank? Press any key to see if power management turned off the screen. Check the power or battery indicator. Ensure the battery is installed and charged. Make sure the LCD screen is selected as the display (Fn+F5). Check if the display is on (Fn+F11).
Why doesn't the keyboard or the glide pad function? Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete simultaneously. If it doesn't work, turn off the system using the power switch (hold for >4 seconds) or the reset switch. Turn on again after 10 seconds.
