Connecting to AC Power

  1. Make sure the notebook is turned off.
  2. Connect the AC adapter cord to the notebook.
  3. Connect the AC power cord to the AC adapter.
  4. Plug the AC power cord into a wall outlet.
Before using the battery pack, be sure to initialize and fully charge it.

Opening the Notebook

  1. Slide the display lock latch until the screen cover releases, and then raise the cover.
  2. Tilt the cover to a comfortable viewing position.

Turning Power On

  1. Connect the notebook to AC Power.
  2. Open the screen cover.
  3. Press the power switch.
Do not turn power off immediately after turning it on. Instead, wait several seconds.

Making Adjustments

Adjusting the Screen Brightness

  • Press F6 to decrease the screen brightness.
  • Press F7 to increase the screen brightness.
  • Press F11 to turn the LCD backlighting on or off.

Adjusting Sound Volume

Use the audio volume control (on the right side of the notebook) to adjust the speaker volume. Turn it away from you to increase the volume, or towards you to decrease the volume.
