Operating the Three-Position Switch-Disconnector
The three-position switch-disconnector offers three states: CLOSED, OPEN, and EARTHED. Operation involves using an operating lever or a motor-driven mechanism. Specific interlocks prevent incorrect switching sequences, such as direct switching from CLOSED to EARTHED.
Operating the Vacuum Circuit-Breaker
The vacuum circuit-breaker also has operating mechanisms that charge springs for closing and opening. Operations can be performed manually or electrically (if equipped with a motor option). Pushbuttons are used for closing and opening.
Cable Testing Procedures
Cable testing involves specific isolation and earthing procedures to ensure safety. Both cable testing via cable plugs and cable sheath testing require careful adherence to isolation, earthing, and preparation steps outlined in the manual. Test voltages should not exceed specified maximums to avoid damage to components.
Fuse Replacement
Replacing HV HRC fuse-links requires isolating and earthing the feeder. The fuse compartment cover can only be removed when the earthing switch is in the EARTHED position. Fuse-links must be replaced in all three phases if one trips.
