Camera Part and Connector Definition

  • Alarm out terminal: Yellow wire, COM port.
  • Alarm in terminal: Red wire for alarm, Orange for GND.

Installing the Camera

SD Memory Card Precautions

  • Install before powering on the camera.

  • Large capacity cards (1GB-2GB) recommended for loop recording.

Connecting the Camera and Personal Computer by Network

IP Address Settings

  • Manual IP setting (default: 192.168.0.10).
  • Automatic IP setting via DHCP server (ensure DHCP is ON in Network settings/Basic).
  • For manual IP, set DHCP to OFF and configure IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS servers.

Connection Configuration

  • Crossover connection or connection via hub, switch, or router.
  • Ensure PC IP address is in the same subnet as the camera.
  • For multiple cameras, assign unique IP addresses.

Using the Camera Search Application "IpFinder"

  • Install from CD.
  • Search for cameras and view live images.
  • Double-click to log in with administrator credentials (default: admin/admin).

Log-in Screen

  • Access via Internet Explorer or Firefox (with IE Tab plug-in).
  • Enter default IP address (192.168.0.10).
  • Administrator login grants full function access.
  • IMPORTANT: Change default administrator ID and password for security.

Viewing and Listening

  • View images through your computer's Internet browser.
  • Enable cookies and adjust security settings in Internet Options.
  • For proxy server users, configure browser settings to bypass proxy for the camera's IP address.

Camera Image Screen

  • Displays live video, OSD (On-Screen Display) options, microphone, speaker, playback controls, language selection, and PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) controls.
  • Supports multiple image streams (JPEG/MPEG4).

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Camera not detected by IpFinder Incorrect IP address configuration. Ensure camera and PC are in the same network segment. Check DHCP settings or manually configure IP address.
Cannot access camera via browser Incorrect IP address or network issue. Ping the camera's IP address. Verify network cable connections. Check firewall settings.
Video not displayed Browser settings or ActiveX issue. Enable ActiveX controls and pop-ups in browser settings. Ensure camera is powered on and connected.
Firmware update failed Interrupted power supply or LAN connection. Ensure continuous power and LAN connection during the update process. Do not disconnect.
SD card not recognized Unsupported SD card or incorrect insertion. Use a supported SD card and ensure it is properly inserted before powering on.
