Switching on the appliance

  1. Press Power Button. The appliance begins to cool. A warning signal sounds and the alarm light comes on because the freezer compartment is still too warm.
  2. Switch off the warning signal using the Alarm Button button. The alarm goes out as soon as the set temperature has been reached.
  3. Set the required temperature.

Operating tips

  • Once switched on, the set temperature is only reached after several hours. Do not put any food in until the set temperature is reached.
  • The front panels of the housing may heat up slightly; this prevents condensation.
  • When closing the door, a vacuum may be created. Wait a moment for it to equalize before opening again.

Switching off the appliance

  • Press Power Button.

Setting the temperature

  • Press -/+ repeatedly until the desired temperature is displayed. The recommended temperature is -18 °C.

Additional functions

  • Automatic Super freezing cools the compartment to a lower temperature to freeze food faster.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Fault Cause Troubleshooting
The appliance is not cooling, the displays and lighting light up. Showroom mode is switched on. "Carry out the appliance self-test." → Page 21. Once the self-test ends, the appliance switches to normal operation.
E or d appears in the temperature display. The electronics have detected a fault. 1. "Switch off the appliance." → Page 13. 2. Disconnect the appliance from the mains. 3. Reconnect after five minutes. 4. If the message persists, call customer service.
Temperature display flashes. Different causes are possible. Press alarm. The alarm is switched off. Close the appliance door. Remove obstructions from exterior ventilation grilles.
Temperature display flashes. Larger quantities of fresh food have been put in. Different causes are possible. Do not exceed the max. freezing capacity. → "Freezing capacity", Page 15.
