Troubleshooting and error codes

Malfunction Possible cause Solution
Appliance does not work Mains plug not inserted correctly. Check that the plug is properly inserted into the socket.

Ambient temperature too low. Try to resolve the problem by lowering the set temperature.

Motor runs continuously The motor noise is normal. The motor runs more frequently under the following conditions: Temperature is set lower than necessary. Temperature in the appliance is too high Doors were opened unnecessarily or for too long; or doors were held open by an obstruction; or the appliance was installed with insufficient clearance on the sides, bottom, or top. Do not open the doors longer than necessary; check the clearance around the appliance.
Doors close heavily The appliance is not tilted approximately 15 mm to the rear. Something in the interior is preventing the doors from closing. Check the tilt and correct if necessary by turning the adjustable feet. Check the interior and remove the obstruction.
Lighting does not work The LED lighting has automatically switched off because the door was open for too long. Close and reopen the door to switch the lighting back on.
The LED lighting is defective. Have the LED lighting replaced → Chapter "Lighting (LED)”.
Water is leaking onto the floor The evaporation pan at the rear of the appliance is not level or the drain pipe is not correctly positioned over the pan or is blocked. Check the evaporation pan and drain pipe at the rear of the appliance.
Water connection is leaking. Check the water connection and tighten connections.
The ice in the ice cube tray has melted because the appliance received no power. Check the ice cube tray and empty if necessary.
Water dispenser not working No water connection or water supply is shut off. Connection hose is pinched or kinked. Water filter incorrectly installed or blocked. Water tank frozen due to too low a temperature in the refrigerator. Child lock is active or the freezer door is not closed. Check water lines and faucet. Check water filter. Increase the temperature in the refrigerator slightly. Deactivate the child lock. Close the freezer door.
No ice can be obtained It takes several hours after installation for the freezer to reach its temperature and produce ice cubes. No water connection or water supply is shut off. Water filter incorrectly installed or blocked. Ice cubes have frozen together in the ice cube tray or are stuck in the dispensing opening. Ice maker is switched off. Check water lines and faucet. Check water filter. Check dispensing opening. Check ice cube tray and empty if necessary. Switch on the ice maker.
