Troubleshooting and error codes

S Curve Check E-F Balance Check RF Level Check
Test Point: TP (FE) on BD board. Connect between TP (FEI) and TP (VC). Power on. Insert YEDS-18 disc. Actuate focus search. Check for symmetrical S-curve between A and B, with peak-to-peak level within 3±1Vp-p. For A:B ratio, check if it's more than 10:7. Sweep time should be long. Test Point: TP (ADJ) to ground. Connect oscilloscope to TP (TE) on BD board. Power on. Insert YEDS-18 disc. Press CHECK button (tracking/sledding servos OFF). Check level B against A (DC voltage). A/B x 100 must be less than ±20%. Press CLEAR button (tracking/sledding servos ON). Check if C (DC voltage) is almost equal to A. Test Point: TP (RF) on BD board. Power on. Check RF signal waveform is clear and RF signal level is correct or not. A clear waveform has a distinguishable shape at the center. Level: 1.2 +0.25/-0.20 Vp-p.
RF PLL Free-run Frequency Check
Connect frequency counter to test point (PLCK). Power on. Insert YEDS-18 disc. Reading on frequency counter should be 4.3218MHz.
