Getting Started

  • Cancel DEMO mode by pressing and holding SOURCE/OFF, rotating the dial to DEMO-OFF, and pressing it.
  • Set the clock by pressing and holding the select button, rotating to CLOCK-ADJ, setting the hour/minute, and pressing the select button.
  • Detach the front panel by pressing and holding SOURCE/OFF, then pressing the release button and pulling the panel off.

Location of Controls

Buttons include SOURCE/OFF, SEEK +/-, ZAP, Control dial/select button, Disc slot, Eject button, USB connector, BACK/MODE, Front panel release button, Receptor for remote commander, Q (BROWSE), PTY/CAT, Number buttons, REP, SHUF, PAUSE, DSPL/SCRL, and AUX input jack.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Troubleshooting Steps
Unit not powered Check connection or fuse. If display is off, press SOURCE/OFF to turn on.
Power antenna does not deploy Check if relay box is missing or if power antenna cable is not connected.
No sound Check if ATT function is active. Check FADER setting for 2-speaker system.
No beep sound Turn beep ON. Check if an external amplifier is connected and integrated amplifier is not used.
Memory content erased Check power cable or battery connection.
Cannot receive stations Check connections. Check antenna cable connection.
Cannot capture preset station Save frequency correctly. Signal may be too weak.
Auto-tuning impossible Signal may be too weak. Tune manually.
RDS PTY display is blank Station is not RDS, no RDS data received, or station does not specify program type.
Cannot insert disc Another disc is already inserted. Disc inserted upside down or incorrectly.
Disc playback does not start Disc is defective or dirty. CD-R/CD-RW not for audio use.
Cannot play MP3/WMA/AAC files Disc not compatible. Complex folder hierarchy, multisession, or writable discs may take longer to start.
Display items do not scroll Scrolling may be inoperative for discs with many characters. Check AUTO SCR setting. Hold DSPL(SCRL) button.
Sound is choppy Installation may be incorrect. Install at a stable angle. Disc may be defective or dirty.
Cannot read USB devices with a hub Unit may not recognize USB devices connected via a hub.
Cannot read certain items USB device may not be functioning. Reconnect it.
Longer start-up time for USB playback USB device may have complex folder hierarchy.
Intermittent sound May be intermittent at bit rates over 320 kbit/s.
Cannot establish Pandora connection Close Pandora on mobile device, then restart.
Display Errors/Messages See specific error messages (CHECKING, ERROR, FAILURE, HUB NO SUPRT, NO DEV, NO MUSIC, NO NAME, NOT FOUND, OFFSET, OVERLOAD, READ, USB NO SUPRT).
Pandora Radio Errors OPEN APP, CHK DEV, NO STATION, CANNOT SKIP, NOT ALLOWED, ERROR.
SiriusXM Errors CH LOCKD, CH UNAVL, CH UNSUB, CHK TUNR, CHEK ANT, NOSIGNAL, SUB UPDT.
Privacy Policy
