Playing a CD:
Selecting Play Modes: Press MENU during play to cycle through Normal play, Repeat all tracks, Single track play, Repeat single track, and Repeat shuffle play.
Using ESP MAX (Skip Protection): Set ESP to "ON" to maximize skip protection. The ESP indication will appear.
Using Digital MEGA BASS: Press SOUND to select "BASS ■" or "BASS ■ ■" for enhanced bass sound.
Locking Buttons: Slide HOLD to lock buttons, preventing accidental operation. Slide HOLD in the opposite direction to unlock.
AVLS (Hearing Protection): Hold down SOUND until "AVLS" appears to limit maximum volume.

| The volume is limited to a certain level even if you attempt to turn it up. | AVLS function keeps down the volume. Hold down SOUND until “AVLS” disappears from the display. |
| Playback starts from the point you stopped. (resume function) | The resume function is working. To start playing from the first track, press ▶▶ for 2 seconds or more, or open the lid of the CD player. Or remove all power sources, then insert the batteries or connect the AC power adaptor again. |
| When closing the lid of the CD player, the CD starts to rotate. | The CD player is reading the information on the CD. It is not malfunctioning. |
