Getting Started

1: Installing speakers: Connect the five speakers (two front, one center, two surround) and a subwoofer.

2: Connecting speakers: Connect the speaker cords to the correct terminals on the receiver and speakers.

3: Connecting the audio/video components: Connect DVD players, CD players, VCRs, and satellite tuners using appropriate audio and video cords.

4: Connecting the antennas: Connect the AM loop and FM wire antennas.

5: Preparing the receiver and the remote: Connect the AC power cord and perform initial setup by initializing the receiver.

6: Calibrating the appropriate settings automatically (AUTO CALIBRATION): Use the optimizer microphone to automatically adjust speaker levels, distance, and connections.

7: Adjusting the speaker levels and balance (TEST TONE): Manually adjust speaker levels and balance.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Error code Explanation Remedies
ERROR 10 The environment is too noisy. Make sure the environment is quiet during Auto Calibration.
ERROR 11 The speakers are placed too near the optimizer microphone. Place your speakers further away from the optimizer microphone.
ERROR 20 The front speakers are not detected or only one front speaker is detected. Check the front speakers connection.
ERROR 21 Only one surround speaker is detected. Check the surround speakers connection.
