Thank you for purchasing this Sony Bluetooth™ Audio System. You can enjoy your drive with the following functions:

  • CD playback: Play CD-DA, CD-TEXT, CD-R/CD-RW (MP3/WMA files).
  • Radio reception: Store up to 6 stations per band (FM1, FM2, FM3, MW, LW). Features BTM (Best Tuning Memory) and RDS services.
  • Bluetooth function: Handsfree talking and music streaming from your cellular phone or portable audio device. Supports HFP 1.0, HSP, A2DP, and AVRCP profiles.
  • Sound adjustment: EQ lite allows selection of 6 preset equalizer curves.
  • Auxiliary equipment connection: Connect portable audio devices via the AUX input jack.

Getting Started

  • Resetting the unit: Before first use or after battery change, detach the front panel and press the RESET button.
  • Preparing the card remote commander: Remove the insulation film before first use.
  • Setting the clock: Use the select button and SEEK/+ to set the clock in 24-hour format.
  • Adjusting the volume level of each device: Adjust volume for Bluetooth or AUX connected devices.
  • Detaching the front panel: Detach for theft prevention. A caution alarm sounds if the ignition is turned off without detaching.
  • Attaching the front panel: Engage part A of the front panel with part B of the unit and push until it clicks.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Indication/Error message Troubleshooting steps
ERROR Compact disc is dirty or inserted upside down. Insert correctly. Empty disc inserted. Disc cannot be played for some reason. Insert another disc.
FAILURE Speakers are connected incorrectly. Refer to installation manual.
L. SEEK +/- Local seek mode is active during auto tuning. Press SEEK -/+ until the program service name flashes to search for another frequency with the same P.I. data (indicator "PI SEEK" appears).
NO AF Alternative frequency is not used for the selected station. Press SEEK -/+ until program service name flashes. Unit searches for another frequency with the same P.I. data.
NO INFO MP3/WMA file does not contain text information.
NO MUSIC Disc does not contain music files. Insert a disc with music files.
NO NAME Composition does not contain album/composition name.
NO TP Unit continues searching for stations broadcasting TP.
OFFSET May indicate a unit malfunction. Check connection. If error persists, contact your Sony dealer.
READ Unit is reading all information about songs and albums from the disc. Wait for reading to complete. Playback will start automatically.
PUSH EJT Compact disc operations are not possible. Press EJECT button (page 9).
"LLLL" or "RRRR" Beginning or end of disc reached during forward or backward movement; continuation is impossible.
"" Unit cannot display such a character.
