Getting Started

  • Customer registration: Register your player for better support. Links provided for US, Canada, Latin America, Europe, China, and other regions.
  • Before first use: Read "Important Information" on the unit's internal memory. Check model names, computer system requirements, and charge the battery. Understand microSD card usage and that images are for reference.
  • Installing software: Install Music Center for PC (Windows) or Content Transfer (Mac) for transferring music.
  • Powering on/off: Hold the button for 4 seconds to turn on. Hold for 2 seconds to turn off. The initial setup wizard guides language and date/time settings.
  • Preventing accidental operations (HOLD): Slide the switch to lock buttons and touch screen. Only button 2 remains active for screen on/off, turning on, or restarting. Touch panel operation can be re-enabled in Settings.
  • Charging the battery: Connect to a running computer via USB or use a USB AC adaptor. The charge lamp indicates charging status.

Maintenance

  • Clean with a soft cloth. Use a slightly moistened cloth with mild detergent for dirt, avoiding water inside. Do not use solvents. Clean headphone plug.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
The player does not turn on. Battery is empty. Charge the battery fully.
The screen is blank. The player is in standby mode. Press the POWER button (1) to turn on the screen.
Cannot transfer content. USB connection issue. Ensure the USB cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port. Restart the computer and the player.
Sound skips or is interrupted. Dirty headphone plug. Clean the headphone plug with a soft dry cloth.
Cannot play back certain files. File format is not supported or the file is copyright protected. Check the "Supported formats" section. Ensure files are not copyright protected.
