For customers in the US, the AC power adaptor is not intended to be serviced and should be returned to a Sony Service Center for replacement.
Setting the Test Mode:
- Supply power to the set.
- Switch on the HOLD switch.
- While pressing the SEARCH/MENU key, press the ►II key.
- Switch off the HOLD switch and enter the test mode.
Releasing the Test Mode:
Press the ►II key for 1.5 seconds or more, turn off the power and release the test mode.
Configuration of Test Mode:
The test mode has several sub-modes, including F/W version display, power supply voltage check, consumption current checks, charge current check, audio tests (output, S/N, frequency characteristic, sound EQ, etc.), G-sensor checks, clock check, and factory settings.
