How to use

  1. Insert the rechargeable battery into the left housing of the headphones, observing polarity.
  2. Connect the AC adaptor to the transmitter and a power outlet.
  3. Charge the headphones by placing them on the transmitter. The CHARGE/RED indicator will light up red and turn off when charging is complete.
  4. Connect the transmitter to your A/V component using either the headphone jack (Hookup A) or audio out (L/R) jacks (Hookup B).
  5. Wear the headphones, lowering the volume before listening to prevent hearing damage.
  6. Start playback of your A/V component.
  7. Adjust the volume on the headphones.
  8. Turn off the power of the headphones after use.

Troubleshooting and error codes

ProblemPossible Cause and Solution
No sound/Low sound - Check A/V component and AC adaptor connections. Turn on A/V component.
- If connected via headphone jack, increase A/V component volume (without distortion).
- Change transmitter channel and use AUTO TUNING on headphones.
- Move headphones closer to transmitter or reposition transmitter.
- Charge battery or replace dry batteries. If POWER indicator is still off, consult dealer.
The sound cuts off - Transmitter turns off if no/low signal for 4 minutes. Increase A/V component volume (without distortion).
Distorted or intermittent sound (sometimes with noise) - Move headphones closer to transmitter or reposition transmitter.
- Do not place transmitter on a metallic table.
- If connected via headphone jack, lower A/V component volume (without distortion).
- Change transmitter channel and use AUTO TUNING on headphones.
- Charge battery or replace dry batteries. If POWER indicator is still off, consult dealer.
Loud background noise - If connected via headphone jack, increase A/V component volume (without distortion).
- Charge battery or replace dry batteries. If POWER indicator is still off, consult dealer.
- Do not place transmitter on a metallic table.
- Move headphones closer to transmitter.
The POWER/GREEN indicator flashes green - No signal or low signal input. Start A/V component playback or increase A/V component volume (without distortion). Transmitter turns off automatically after 4 minutes of no/low signal.
Battery cannot be charged/ CHARGE/RED indicator flashes red, or does not light up red - Ensure correct headphone placement on transmitter for contact.
- Install supplied rechargeable battery; others cannot be charged.
- Battery may be at end of life. Order replacement BP-HP800-11.
- Clean transmitter contact pins and headphone contact points with a cotton bud.
