Getting Started

Charging and Installing the Battery Pack

Charge the battery pack on a flat place without vibration. Connect the AC power adaptor to the mains. Align the right side of the battery pack with the line on the AC power adaptor, then slide the battery pack in the direction of the arrow. Set the selector to CHARGE. The CHARGE lamp (orange) lights up. Charging begins. When charging is completed, the CHARGE lamp goes out. Set the selector to the center position and unplug the unit from the mains. Then remove the battery pack and install it on the camcorder.

Inserting a Cassette

Make sure that a power source is installed. While sliding the lid release knob, lift up the lid. Then open it. Press EJECT. The cassette compartment automatically lifts up and opens. Insert a cassette (not supplied) with the window facing out. Press the PUSH mark on the cassette compartment to close it. The cassette compartment automatically goes down. Close the lid until it locks.

Camera Recording

Make sure that the power source is installed and a cassette is inserted. Press START/STOP to start recording. The "REC" indicator appears and the red lamp lights up in the viewfinder. The red lamp on the front also lights up.

Playing Back a Tape

You can monitor the playback picture on the LCD screen. Turn the POWER switch to VTR. Insert the recorded tape. Press to start playback. Adjust the volume using VOLUME.
