• No rewinding to start recording: Recorded images are stored in empty areas on the disc. You can start shooting any time.
• Find scenes quickly using VISUAL INDEX: The VISUAL INDEX screen allows you to check recorded scenes at a glance.
• Records widescreen format and 5.1ch surround sound: Record high-quality widescreen images and realistic 5.1ch surround sound.

A recorded disc can be played back on a variety of devices:

• Playback on a DVD device or DVD drive: Play back recorded and finalized discs on home DVD devices, DVD recorders, or computer DVD drives. Finalizing creates DVD menus for quick access.
• Playback on widescreen TV and home theater: Play back widescreen images on a wide TV and enjoy full sound on a home theater.

Connecting camcorder to a computer:

• High-speed image transfer: Transfer image data quickly to a computer.
• Use supplied software to edit and copy: The Picture Motion Browser software allows you to edit movies or still images and create your original DVD.
