Getting Started

Step 1: Checking supplied items

Ensure all items are present: AC Adaptor, Power cord, A/V connecting cable, Lens cap, Rechargeable battery pack, and Operating Guide.

Step 2: Charging the battery pack

1. Align and attach the battery pack to the camcorder. 2. Slide the POWER switch to OFF(CHG). 3. Connect the AC Adaptor to the DC IN jack. 4. Connect the power cord to the AC Adaptor and wall outlet. The CHG lamp indicates charging.

Step 3: Turning the power on and holding your camcorder firmly

1. Remove the lens cap. 2. Slide the POWER switch to CAMERA or PLAY/EDIT. 3. Hold the camcorder correctly, ensuring a good grip and fastening the grip belt.

Step 4: Adjusting the LCD panel and viewfinder

Open the LCD panel and rotate it for the best recording/playback angle. Adjust the viewfinder by moving the lens adjustment lever until the picture is clear.

Step 5: Using the touch panel

Support the LCD panel and touch the on-screen buttons to play back recordings or change settings. Use DISP/BATT INFO to toggle screen indicators.

Step 6: Setting the date and time

Access MENU, select SETUP MENU, then CLOCK SET and EXEC. Set the Year, Month, Day, Hour, and Minute.

Step 7: Inserting a Cassette

Slide the OPEN/EJECT lever, open the lid, insert a mini DV cassette with the window facing outwards, and press PUSH. Close the lid.

Recording/Playback

Easy Recording/Playback (Easy Handycam)

Slide POWER to CAMERA, press EASY, then press REC START/STOP to begin recording. Press again to stop.
