Getting Started
Step 1: Checking supplied items: Ensure all accessories like AC adaptor, power cord, USB cable, lens cap, battery pack, remote commander, CD-ROM, and operating guide are present.
Step 2: Charging the battery pack: Attach the battery to the camcorder or Handycam Station, connect the AC adapter, and slide the power switch to OFF (CHG). The CHG lamp indicates charging.
Step 3: Turning the power on and holding your camcorder firmly: Slide the POWER switch to activate the camera/memory or play/edit modes. Hold the camcorder securely with a good grip.
Step 4: Adjusting the LCD panel and viewfinder: Open and rotate the LCD panel for optimal viewing. Use the viewfinder to save battery or in poor LCD visibility. Adjust viewfinder brightness and settings as needed.
Step 5: Using the touch panel: Touch the screen to play back recordings or change settings. The DISP/BATT INFO button toggles screen indicators.
