Getting Started

• Supplied items: Familiarize yourself with the included accessories like the camcorder, AC adaptor, battery pack, USB cable, lens hood, lens cap, wireless remote commander, and eyecup.
• Charging the battery pack: Connect the AC adaptor and power cord to the camcorder and a wall outlet. The POWER/CHG lamp indicates charging status.
• Turning the power on: Open the LCD monitor or extend the viewfinder to turn on the camcorder. Follow on-screen instructions to set AREA SET, DST SET, and DATE.
• Adjusting the viewfinder: Extend and position the viewfinder. Adjust the lens adjustment dial for a clear image. Use the large eyecup in bright conditions.
• Inserting a memory card: Open the memory card slot cover and insert the memory card until it clicks. Slot A accepts Memory Stick or SD cards, while Slot B accepts SD cards only.

Recording/Playback

• Recording movies: Open the LCD monitor and press START/STOP to begin recording. Press START/STOP again to stop.
