Getting Started

• Step 1: Charging the battery pack: Connect AC adaptor to Handycam Station, then connect power cord to wall outlet. Slide POWER switch to OFF (CHG). Attach battery pack, then set camcorder onto Handycam Station. Charging lamp will light up.
• Step 2: Setting the date and time: Press green button while sliding POWER switch until desired lamp lights up. Touch HOME > SETTINGS > CLOCK/LANG > CLOCK SET. Select geographical area, then set date and time.
• Step 3: Inserting a "Memory Stick PRO Duo": Open Memory Stick Duo cover, insert "Memory Stick PRO Duo" until it clicks, then close cover. Slide POWER switch to record movies. If it's a new "Memory Stick PRO Duo", create a new Image Database File by touching YES.

Recording/Playback/Saving images

• Recording: Slide POWER switch to activate Movie or Still mode. Press START/STOP for movies or PHOTO for still images.
• Playback: Slide POWER switch to turn on camcorder. Press VIEW IMAGES button. Select movie or still image to play.
• Playing the image on a TV: Connect camcorder to TV using supplied cables and AC Adaptor. Ensure correct input on TV and set output settings on camcorder.

Enjoying with a computer

• Install "Handycam Application Software" from supplied CD-ROM for "Handycam Handbook" (PDF) and "PMB". Follow on-screen instructions.
