Getting Started

Step 1: Charging the battery pack

Connect the AC adaptor to the DC IN jack on the Handycam Station, then connect the power cord to the AC adaptor and the wall outlet. Turn the POWER switch to OFF (CHG). Attach the battery pack by sliding it in until it clicks. Set the camcorder onto the Handycam Station. The charging lamp indicates charging status.

Step 2: Turning the power on, and setting the date and time

Press the green button while turning the POWER switch until the respective lamp lights up. For the first-time use, the [CLOCK SET] screen appears. Set the date, time, and language settings.

Step 3: Selecting the media

Touch (HOME) to access (MANAGE MEDIA). Select either the hard disk or a "Memory Stick PRO Duo" for movie and still image recording. Touch the desired media and image quality (HD/SD).

Recording/Playback

Turn the POWER switch to the appropriate setting for movies or still images. Press START/STOP or PHOTO to begin recording. Press again to stop.

Playback

Turn the POWER switch on and press (VIEW IMAGES). Select the desired movie or still image and press play. Use the on-screen controls for navigation.
