Charging the Battery Pack: Connect the AC Adaptor to the Handycam Station and the wall outlet. Close the LCD panel. Open the battery cover, insert the battery pack until it clicks, and close the cover. Place the camcorder on the Handycam Station. The charge lamp will light up.
Turning the Power On and Setting Date/Time: Open the LCD panel. Your camcorder turns on. To adjust the LCD panel, open it 90 degrees to the camcorder and then rotate it. Slide the Movie/Still select switch until the respective lamp lights up. For the first-time use, the [CLOCK SET] screen will appear. Select your geographical area and set the date and time.
